RuMapps aims to focus on the different resources Puerto Lumbreras, as well as other participating municipalities can find information about sights, thematic routes, local products, tourism, festivals and nature.
The Tourist Office of Puerto Lumbreras has hosted a day of presentation of the mobile application RuMapps, which have assisted entrepreneurs and groups that are actively involved in the development of rural tourism of the town.
Puerto Lumbreras participates in the "RuMapps, Rural Murcia Apps" project, a cooperation project between the four local action groups in the Region of Murcia: Integral, Society for Rural Development (GAL Coordinator), Campodos, ADC Northeast and ADRI Vega Segura, whose objective is the enhancement of the (tourist, social, economic and cultural) resources in rural areas.
Thus, the Tourist Office of Puerto Lumbreras has hosted the presentation of the mobile application RuMapps, which was attended by businessmen and groups active in the development of rural tourism in the municipality.
In this sense, RuMapps aims to focus on the different resources Puerto Lumbreras, as well as other participating municipalities, both among the population and the visitors can find information about sights, local products, active tourism, local festivals, nature , thematic routes ... All this, georeferenced in the territory for easy identification without an Internet connection.
In addition, we can find it in two languages: in Castilian and English.
This project, which brings together thirty-one rural municipalities of Murcia, aims to generate a tourist application for phones and tablets, Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices.
The project was funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Region of Murcia, within the LEADER approach.
Note that within the application general information of the municipality, such as where to go, where to eat, accommodation, entertainment, tours, tourist products or information of interest, of the 32 localities that are included in the application, collected mainly rural character.
Also, the application also allows browsing by category, so that clicking eg food, access to all restaurants and bars throughout the region included in the application, as well as with museums, adventure tourism, religious, Guided visits art and popular festivals.
