CEIP Immaculate Conception station Puerto Lumbreras selected to participate in a program that promotes technology as an educational stimulus (29/07/2015)

The school will be part of the Samsung Smart School that enhances the learning of children in the field of technology applied to education program nationwide.

The program is intended to integrate lasnuevas tecnologíasen lasaulas of Spanish public schools, and is regulated by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.

Samsung joins the integration of information and communications technology in education with Smart School.

This is a project focused on students in grades 5 and 6 of the Spanish Primary Education centers.

The CEIP Immaculate Conception of Puerto Lumbreras The station has been selected to participate in the Samsung Smart School program that promotes technology as an educational stimulus.

Thus, the school will be part of the Samsung Smart School that enhances children's learning in the field of technology applied to education program nationwide.

Thus, the Councillor for Education, Children and Equality, Sonia Lopez explained that "it is an honor for our town that our schools continue to advance, becoming bilingual, and both adhere to national and European programs to continue improving education our children. Specifically, the philosophy behind the Samsung Smart School program is to create a new environment of interactive and participatory learning in which technology serves as a stimulus for the little ones to acquire knowledge and enhance their curriculum. "

This innovative way of learning through play has been greeted with open arms by the teachers, who work closely with students in different subjects and contents.

Thus, the Samsung Smart School project is aimed at integrating lasnuevas tecnologíasen lasaulas of Spanish public schools, with a special focus on educational loscentros with possible risk of digital divide and special education centers.

Aimed mainly at losalumnos 5th and 6th Primary, the program now covers 51 classrooms, communities autónomasde 1500 estudiantesen14 todaEspaña, plus Ceuta and Melilla.

This program seeks to provide opportunities to young students of our country, through the incorporation of new technologies in their classrooms, plus a detailed support to teachers in the process of digital transformation and intensive use of interactive digital content.

With all this, the program aims to reduce the digital divide and to avoid as far as possible that is also social.
