The town of Puerto Lumbreras has welcomed this morning the Regional Final of Cross field through sport in school 2015/2016, in male and female categories of Children, Youth and Cadet.
So, 1,000 students of all secondary schools in the Region of Murcia have participated in this event.
Specifically, participants made 2,500 runs, 3,000 and 4,000 meters, depending on the category, in the cross country circuit located next to the Municipal Sports Centre.
This sporting event has been organized by the Department of Sports of Puerto Lumbreras, the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia and the Athletics Federation of Murcia, along with the collaboration of Nogalte Athletics Club and the Sports Association Esparragal.
Finally, at 12.00 it has ended the day with the awards and trophies with the assistance of the Councillor for Sports, Juan Francisco Carrillo, Councillor for Youth, Andrés López, and the Councillor for Education, Sonia Lopez.
Notably, the team Rambla Nogalte Institute of Puerto Lumbreras won the championship men's team in junior category.
