Puerto Lumbreras presents a campaign to keep the streets and parks clean of pet waste (04/02/2016)

Under the slogan "I count on you to keep the city clean" is intended to raise public awareness about the importance of collecting pet excrement in the street.

The campaign includes informative talks in schools in the municipality and the opening of an information stand at the weekly market.

In addition, 2,000 portabolsas be distributed to collect excrement and 1,000 information flyers.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has launched a new campaign under the slogan "I count on you to keep the city clean" in order to inform and educate citizens about the importance of collecting pet excrement in the street.

Thus, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, the Councillor for Health, Andrés López, Councillor for Sustainable Development, Angela Morillas, and the Councillor for Public Spaces, Juan Francisco Carrillo, presented this new campaign in the public park Reina Sophie.

The presentation was also attended by local police officers and Civil Protection.

Specifically, the campaign includes informative talks in schools in the municipality and the opening of an information stand at the weekly market on Fridays.

In addition, 2,000 portabolsas be distributed to collect excrement and 1,000 information flyers with tips on hygiene habits, environmental problems and disease transmission.
