Ruiz Abellán agrees with Secretary of State for Tourism signature Nogalte Medina Plan and Quality Facilities (22/07/2008)

The Minister of Tourism and Consumer Affairs, Jose Pablo Ruiz Abellán, attended today's meeting of the Tourism Sector Conference, chaired by the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Trade Miguel Sebastian.

After the meeting, Ruiz Abellán has met with Secretary of State for Tourism, Joan Mesquida Ferrando, who has agreed to the signing of two plans which will provide a major boost to regional tourism, the Tourism Promotion Plan and Medina Nogalte Quality Plan Tourist Establishments.

Ruiz Abellán explained that "Mesquida has pledged that by the end of the month we will have a firm date for this Plan for Puerto Lumbreras, who will action the amount of 3,300,000 euros for the next three years.

The actions are intended to enhance the image of Puerto Lumbreras as a quality tourist destination in the regional, national and international.

The Tourism Sector Conference brings together the heads of the central and regional tourism administrations, to coordinate public policies in Tourism or discuss and plan joint action criteria.
