The Department of Interior of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has launched a Prevention and Evacuation Plan specific to the festivity from 1 to 7 October.
This Plan contains a package of measures to deal directly or indirectly any emergency that may occur during the celebration of different events and activities of the Fair and Festivities 2008 and in the hours before and after these events.
The planned measures are intended to prevent risks, collected and sorted in the catalog are a support plan and to counteract certain emergency situations such as health risks associated with concentrations of people and prolonged, fire, street and road transport, landslides in related facilities in the event, traffic accidents, disturbances of public order, locating missing persons, as well as floods and any risk or emergency situation occurred in the town of Puerto Lumbreras.
Groups in this plan of action, dependent on the group Public Safety of the City of Puerto Lumbreras in coordination between the various public and private companies, will be composed of Local Police, Guardia Civil, Civil Protection, Private Security, sanitary facilities and fire .
Also, within the fairgrounds, will be installed via communication with the Regional Operations Coordination Center (CECOPAL) addressed both by the Mayor of the municipality, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, as Councilwoman of Interior, Dolores Arenas.
Both coordinate this plan consists of a total of 166 people who make human resources available among which includes the City Hall maintenance staff.
According to statements by Interior Councilwoman Dolores Arenas' account each year the City Council with a larger number of troops to guarantee security and prevent any problems that may arise during the festivity with a view to lumbrerenses and visitors to enjoy events without having to worry about anything. "
