The councilman of Social Policy inaugurated by the Director General of the First Senior course for carers of dependent persons (03/10/2008)

The Director General of the Elderly, Paloma Recio, Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia and the director of La Caixa in Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Olivares, inaugurated this morning the First Course for carers of dependents, the Centro Cultural de Puerto Lumbreras.

These courses, which will be held in the town from today until December 9, will be taught by professionals of La Caixa and part of the Program to Support Family Care for Dependents 'A carer, two lives' presented by the Work Social La Caixa.

The aim of the courses is to accompany the family caregiver, providing guidelines and tips to help take care of itself, thus contributing to improving their quality of life and provide the necessary materials, as a guide for your support.

Specifically, it will be about 40 people, who receive training from 10 to 12:30 hours in two different editions.

In the first instance is hosting a training block of four sessions each with a total of 20 students, and then another 20 students will be formed in a later edition.

The first block of training will take place on March, 10, 17 and 24 October and will host the second one on 18, 25 November and 2 December 9.

'We are grateful to the Autonomous Region Puerto Lumbreras was one of the beneficiary municipalities for the conduct of the course after the requests sent from the Department of Social Policy and the Association of People with Disabilities' El Castillo.

Grade III.

High dependence: when the person needs help several times a day and their total loss of physical, mental, intellectual and sensory needs the support of a person who helps you throughout the day.
