Start the second edition of Basic Social Skills course for lumbrerenses at risk of social exclusion (04/11/2008)

The councilman of Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, has opened this morning, along with social workers to the Department of Social Policy and the Association Ilitia, the second edition of the training project 'Springboard' funded by DG Pension Valuation and Inclusion Programs Murciano Institute of Social Action, the Department of Social Policy of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and the Association for Psychosocial Development and Promotion 'Ilitia' which will run over three months in the municipality.

Through the project 'Springboard', which provides a lump sum of 21,000 euros to the members of the course, students acquire basic social skills by training strategies that promote stability and encourage staff to facilitate their future integration into the labor market .

The fifteen lumbrerenses enrolled in this program meet one of the requirements such as periodic economic benefit recipients, women with family responsibilities are not shared, in some cases people from dysfunctional families with poor social skills or training levels with restrictions for everyday personal development .

This will be possible through workshops, Communication Skills and Relationship and Health and Personal Image, covered by module staff, family and social module, which will host educational workshops, housing and domestic organization, as well as the workshop of socio-familial and personal.

The methodology of this project is purely participatory, which acts a mentor to make individual attention to each of the participants, providing support and guidance, adapting the training content and profile of stakeholders.

'The second edition of this course, completed earlier this year, involves a continuity in training, personal recovery, social mediation and improved self-esteem of people likely to fall in the marginalization and social exclusion, in order to facilitate the access to a job, finding housing and improve their social relationships, so they can be unwrapped in their daily lives.

To do so will further this time, performing 50 hours of practice in different companies in the municipality, "said the mayor as Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia.
