MUAYTHAI

The practice of Muay Thai, from Thailand, is a way of life that expands with great force in the world, being the most violent contact sport spectacular.

The history of this type of boxing features of "anything goes" back to the origins of this Southeast Asian country rebuilt by the memories of the provincial towns and neighboring countries like Cambodia, Burma and China.

In the early twentieth century Muay Thai was taught in schools, but in 1921 was removed from teaching because of the injury rate.

In 1930 joined the Muay Thai rules with weight category, duration of the round with his moment of recovery and the amount thereof.

Also started using boxing gloves and groin protectors made of steel and covered with leather.

The fights were staged in modern western boxing rings.

According to some senior experts of MUAYTHAI, all these modern changes meant the death of the discipline and art of war and the birth of a new combat sport.
