The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras and Regional Representative, Pedro Antonio Sánchez has this morning signed a cooperation agreement with the Regional Secretary of the UGT, Antonio Jiménez for the launch of a center guide for immigrants in the municipality.
The new center located in the new headquarters of UGT in the Plaza of the Constitution and will be open Monday to Friday during morning and afternoon.
To this end, the City has subsidized UGT amount of 6,000 euros.
The Center for Immigrant Guide developed an activity primarily aimed at providing information and legal support to manage all administrative procedures necessary for the legalization of their work and stay in Spain as well as providing social support to facilitate their socio-professional integration, information services social, housing, sanitation, schooling for children, adult education, Spanish courses for foreigners and occupational training and retraining.
Among the main objectives of the implementation of this new center are to promote social integration and employment of immigrants in the municipality as well as removing barriers to immigrants' access to social benefits and public resources and promote social and union participation of immigrants.
On the other hand, we also guide and advise immigrants to obtain and maintain residence and employment in Spain, they inform and guide on public resources and social services to immigrants who can access and training activities will be promoted to facilitate the employability of workers.
To do this, they provide information on employment rights and occupational Training courses, continuous and promotion.
The dissemination of legal texts and union will be held in Arabic, English and French.
