The City Council is launching the program Promoting Entrepreneurship directed to the immigrant (10/06/2009)

The training program, promoted through the Create Foundation and the Directorate of Immigration and volunteers, including the development of business projects, as well as individual monitoring business to materialize

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Create Foundation and Enterprise Directorate-General of Immigration and volunteering has been launched this year the program Promoting Entrepreneurship aimed at immigrants.

Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, and Councilman Business, Employment and Development, Ginés David Piñero, have presented this program fosters the entrepreneurial spirit to promote the creation companies in the immigrant community.

"The program we urge the City Council through the Foundation seeks to create business raise concerns in the immigrant community.

It is very important for people who come to our country know the requirements to start businesses and have training to boost business areas in which they reside, "said the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia.

The program, which is aimed at immigrant communities living in the city from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Uruguay, has 27 students enrolled to be formed to promote business development.

The course is based on learning through practice, and also has one mentoring and developing a business plan.

In this regard, Councillor of Enterprise, Employment and Development, Ginés David Piñero, stressed that "the program will analyze all business projects which develop students and select the companies that would be viable in the area.

Thus, the program helps in Puerto Lumbrersas economic revitalization through the creation of new business. "

The duration of the program is eight weeks and features designed to block the promotion of productive savings between immigrants by providing interdisciplinary training of the various functional areas of business and management techniques transmitted to the problems of a business.

In addition, the end of the program, students develop a business plan will be monitored individually for two years to boost business.

The program has the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as a partner to encourage immigrants to return to the country of origin and develop viable business projects.

In addition, through this institution, the residents of Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Uruguay also be formed to promote business in these countries.
