The Mayor received the award during a ceremony of the Federal Council of Scouts, Explorers from Spain, which were attended by all regional presidents of associations of Scouts in each region.
The Scout Association of the Autonomous Community last night presented the Silver Medal Explorers Murcia Puerto Lumbreras Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, in recognition of their support and collaboration with the association.
The award coincided with the celebration of St. George in Puerto Lumbreras, where more than 2,000 scouts last April.
"It's an honor to receive this recognition from an association such as ASDE Scouts, from working and enhance coexistence among young people through the transmission of values such as respect, solidarity and teamwork," said Mayor Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
The award was for institutional dinner of the National Association of Scouts, Explorers, coinciding with the development over the weekend of the Annual Council of the Federation of Scouts of Spain.
The event was attended by more than a hundred people, among whom were representatives of Regional Associations of Scouts from around the country and the Federal Scout president of Spain, Julio del Valle of Iscar.
Moreover, institutional dinner attended by representatives of different parliamentary groups, CEOs and youth councilors, representatives of trade unions, institutions and national and international organizations based in Spain.
During the award ceremony, the President of Scouts in the region of Murcia, José Antonio Nieto, said that this recognition, "coincides with the celebration of St. George in Puerto Lumbreras attended by more than 2,000 scouts from the Region of Murcia.
It is also a way to acknowledge the support and collaboration of Pedro Antonio Sanchez Asde Scouts, because when he served as CEO of Youth, bet from the beginning for us and has continued to support and work for over 8 years. "
For his part, Sanchez reiterated her pride to receive this award, noting that "it is very important from public institutions support such partnerships that foster and promote values in young people."
