The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Confederation of the municipality, ASEPLU have launched the first edition of the Gastronomic "Puerto Lumbreras, Taste Good" involving numerous establishments in the municipality.

The Councillor for Tourism, Ginés David Piñero, and President of the Confederation of Employers, Aseplu, Francisco Sosa, presented the workshops that are taking place during the Saturday of July in the municipality.

"This is an innovative initiative involving a dozen bars and restaurants in town to promote the traditional cuisine of the municipality.

Through Gastronomic, establishments offer tasting menus with traditional dishes of the municipality and the Region of Murcia during the last Saturday of July, "said the Councillor for Tourism, Ginés David Piñero.

During the Saturday of July, township establishments offer tasting menus, including two dishes and desserts with a special price of 12 euros.

Among the dishes that include food festivals, barbecue stands cheek, zarangollo rice and snails.

Also, the menus include traditional local desserts such as bread or rice pudding calatrava.

In this sense, the Councillor for Tourism, Ginés David Piñero, stressed that "the conference aiming to strengthen the tradition and stop catering to the town that has had throughout its history, and increase the tourist attraction on the premises of the municipality throughout the month of July. "

For his part, President of Aseplu, Francisco Sosa, added that "food festivals serve to enhance the activity of the sector of hotels and restaurants, and also offer consumers high-quality food at a good price."

Moreover, since the session has prompted a campaign to promote the conference in the Region of Murcia and the coast of Andalusia to raise awareness of the business establishments and hotels and restaurants in the municipality.

The participating establishments are the Bar Restaurant Kannada, The Orchard Inn, Restaurant Pizzeria La Posada, Hotel Riscal Wine Bar Tropezón, and restaurants in Los Angeles, Pernias, Rest and Villarejo.
