Note multitudinous of 'falling stars' in the head of the Jara (13/08/2009)

More than 500 attended the Astronomical Observatory lumbrerenses Cabezo de la Jara to observe the fall of 'Persian' popularly known as''falling stars' or 'tears of San Lorenzo'.

Through the Department of Tourism of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has launched the campaign 'Meet the Stars' to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.

The campaign, which includes activities such as guided tours, lectures and seminars outdoor place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from July through September, at 22:00 pm at the Astronomical Observatory Cabezo de la Jara.

Since the start of the campaign 'Meet the Stars' in July are more than 1,000 people, from various countries and cities, who attended the guided tours offered by the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras in collaboration with the Astronomical Association of the Region Murcia.
