Inauguration of three new police officers in Puerto Lumbreras Local (11/11/2009)

In recent years, Puerto Lumbreras has increased significantly its number of local police.

With three new additions, the municipality has 24 local police officers.

The hall of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has welcomed the inauguration of three new Local Police.

The officers, Juan Antonio Espinosa, José Manuel Muñoz, and Vincent Molino, have signed the certificate of possession to the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, Police Sergeant Local Puerto Lumbreras, Andrew Lledó and Councillor for Citizen Security, Dolores Arenas.

"Public safety is a priority for Puerto Lumbreras, and thus continue to expand the number of agents and make them available to law enforcement authorities more and better infrastructure.

The current government team has significantly increased the staffing of local police, leading to triple the number of agents, "the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.

With three new additions, the municipality has a staff of 24 officers, nine of which are attached to the Public Safety Unit of the Regional Plan.

It is also expected before the end of the year, adding a new local police to complete the body of Public Safety Brigades.

On the other hand, the session has been extended this year to transport the local police of the municipality, which already has five cars, two SUV, a unit of Public Safety and four motorcycles.

In addition, soon will join a new van packed.

New infrastructures of Public Safety

Regarding infrastructure, the municipality will soon have a new Center for Integrated Security and Emergency units that bring together local police, Civil Protection, the Emergency Coordination Center City and a computer terminal associated with the single emergency telephone number 112.

The new center, with a total investment of more than 2,747,000 euros, will be located next to the Parador hotel and will be built on a plot of over 5,800 meters.

It is also planned to build a Police Service Centre in the village of Season-The Esparragal of Puerto Lumbreras, which has a budget of 650,000 Euros.

In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, explained that "the new infrastructure will provide a better service and greater efficiency in public safety.

Public facilities with which the municipality will in turn will enhance coordination and collaboration between the security forces. "
