The City Council signed a cooperation agreement with the Workers' Commissions to implement mentoring programs and job training (12/11/2009)

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Secretary General of CCOO Murcia, Daniel Well, this morning signed a collaboration agreement to promote the rights and conditions of workers through new programs and job training guidance .

The municipality will have a labor consultant and advisor to foreign information at the headquarters of CCOO of Puerto Lumbreras.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has signed a collaboration agreement with the Workers' Commissions of the Region of Murcia to implement mentoring programs and job training.

The Mayor of the municipality, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, has maintained a corporate meeting with the Secretary General of the Workers' Commissions of the Region of Murcia, which in addition to signing the agreement, have planned the implementation of various measures in Puerto Lumbreras to increase job counseling and training.

"With the formalization of the collaboration agreement, the municipality and the Workers' Commissions will launch orientation and training programs to improve the employment situation of workers lumbrerenses.

For the City one of the main concerns is the status of all citizens working in the municipality, and an appropriate socio-economic development of the same, "said the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.

Through the collaboration agreement between the municipality and CCOO Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras provide information service for foreign workers, and employment advice service for all workers and unemployed in the municipality.

It will also include advisory services union workers, and plans will be implemented career guidance for employment and self employment assistance, training or legal advice.

"In addition to ensuring the rights of workers, it is important institutional support and social commitment to set a special focus on people who are suffering from the economic crisis.

Both the Workers' Commissions and the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, will work to represent and defend the interests of workers and facilitating access to employment for people who do not work today, "added Sanchez.

On the other hand, we also provide legal advice in employment and training service for the employee in order to ensure the needs of training and qualification of workers in terms of social demands, regional development, technological and economic development.

It will contribute to improving the conditions of workers through intervention in Lifelong Learning.

In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, added that "all actions are part of the development of two large blocks, first Labour Information and Aliens in general, and another of brokering workplace to improve working conditions for people working in the municipality. "

All these actions will be launched at the headquarters of CCOO in Puerto Lumbreras is situated on Calle Juan Antonio López Alcaraz, No. 1.
