Social Services managed the delivery of DTT decoders through the Plan Avanza 2 seniors, dependent and disabled.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the regional government has launched an information campaign for the proper introduction of DTT in the municipality.
Coinciding with the analogue television blackout will occur on 23 March, the council of New Technologies, José Manuel Alcántara, and the Councillor for Employment and Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, presented the new information campaign.

Well, do not you get caught by blackout!, Aims to reach all groups and citizens aware of the importance of adapting to new technology before the imminent analogue switch.
According to the council for New Technologies, José Manuel Alcántara, "the campaign is focused on conducting a series of actions aimed at all social groups to bring their televisions with new technology, and know the benefits."
The campaign includes the distribution of more than a thousand information leaflets in the town, besides the organization of briefings.
Specifically, Puerto Lumbreras host on March 10 an information day from 17.30 in the Cultural Center and on 11 March, from 17.30 in the Pensioner's Home Station.
During the conference, experts will inform the public about the digital switchover, as well as the advantages of digital terrestrial television.
Moreover, on March 12, the municipality will have a mobile information point, which will meet the concerns of citizens, and should explain the operation of the DTT demonstrations.
In this regard, Councillor for New Technologies, José Manuel Alcántara, explained that "the change to digital television means, among other advantages, the possibility of substantially increasing the number of channels available, and improve the quality of picture and sound.
It is very important that people know the new TV operations, and adapt their equipment properly before next March 23. "
On the other hand, from the Social Services City of Puerto Lumbreras, manages the delivery of DTT decoders being done through the Avanza Plan which sets in motion the central government for over 65 years of dependency (level II or III), people with disabilities of 33% or higher, and the persons or couples over 80 who live alone.
All these people can apply for DTT decoders at the Municipal Office of Consumer Information.
In this sense, the Councillor for Employment and Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, explained that "the campaign grant decoders DTT is mainly aimed at the social groups least aware of the emergence of this new technology, to encourage the proper implementation of DTT throughout the municipality. "
