The City Council hands out more than a hundred DTT decoders and dependent elderly (16/03/2010)

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has delivered this morning over a hundred DTT decoders elderly and disabled dependents.

The initiative is framed within the information campaign has launched the session is done through the Plan Avanza.

The Councillor for New Technologies, José Manuel Alcántara, the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, and the Mayor Councillor, Gloria Matilde García Caballero, have made delivery of DTT decoders over a hundred citizens lumbrerenses.

According to Councillor Mayor, Gloria Matilde Garcia, "the campaign to deliver DTT decoders is mainly aimed at the social groups least aware of the emergence of this new technology, thereby to facilitate the correct implementation of DTT in the whole municipality ".

Specifically, from the Social Services City of Puerto Lumbreras, manages the delivery of DTT decoders over 65 years of dependency (level II or III), people with disabilities of 33% or higher, and people or couples over 80 who live alone.

Applications and management of the decoders is through Social Services and the Office of Consumer Information.

Moreover, this initiative is part of an information campaign sponsored by the Government, in collaboration with Regional and Central Government to promote and encourage the proper implementation of DTT in the municipality.
