The new building has an investment of over € 900,000 and an area of 700 square meters which will create multifunctional spaces for organizing training courses, workshops and conferences for the elderly in the municipality.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the regional government, continue with the construction of the new Center on Aging in the street Vicente Ruiz Llamas.
Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, and the Mayor Councillor, Gloria Matilde García Caballero, this morning visited the works of new public facilities to be completed before next summer.
According to the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, "the new building of the Third Age Centre Vicente Ruiz Llamas will best suit the current needs of such public sites.
The equipment will include spaces for organizing training courses, workshops and conferences in order to meet the needs of senior citizens in Puerto Lumbreras.
Through these works, the new Senior Center Street Llamas Ruiz of Puerto Lumbreras have a surface area of 700 square feet on two floors.
On the ground floor, the center includes restrooms, changing rooms, a warehouse and three rooms for the development of activities for older people.
On the other hand, the first floor includes services such as hairdressers, cafeteria, kitchen and two multipurpose rooms that will be developed in workshops and training activities aimed at adults.
In this sense, the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, concluded by explaining that "the new building was established as a living space for seniors to be developed in various leisure activities and many services will be offered.
Thus, the City Council and the regional government is once again the creation and improvement of public infrastructure that enhances the quality of life of citizens. "
