Puerto Lumbreras City Council unanimously approved on a motion filed last plenary session by the local group United Left Greens in requesting the company Iberdrola investments and technical improvements to optimize the electricity service provided by the municipality.
In the motion, the council also moved a formal complaint by the recent blackouts that have occurred in the municipality.
"All lumbrerenses are entitled to receive electric service quality, and therefore from the council ask the entity responsible for improvements in the electricity supply to avoid the problems that have occurred in recent months," explained Councilman Services Eliseo Sánchez.
Specifically, on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February there was a major power blackout in the town which lasted several hours and affected virtually the entire city and especially the town of Puerto Lumbreras.
In addition, above and at Christmas there was a short circuit in one of the transformers of the municipality.
In this regard, Councillor Services, Eliseo Sanchez, stated that "these problems affect not only the citizens in their homes but also businesses and shops suffer damages that would meet with improvements in the electrical supply request from the municipality. "
Finally, the session explained in the motion that in addition to power outages, the town suffers continuous ups and downs of tension, which in some cases can cause damage to certain appliances and electronics.
